Experience
Jason is a senior commercial and intellectual property lawyer with over 20 years of experience and a track record of managing £1B+ in aggregate deal values. As the founder of Kinshi Lodelaw, he provides strategic guidance for innovative businesses, offering the high-level oversight of a General Counsel through a modern, fixed-fee consultancy model.
His experience is forged in both private practice and in-house roles. He previously served as Head of Legal and a member of the senior leadership team for a UK-based software technology firm (part of the Zalando SE group). In this role, he led the company’s commercial and SaaS contract strategies across EMEA, APAC, and the US, providing the legal, commercial, and IP infrastructure that supported the company’s growth and successful sale to a leading European PLC.
Prior to his in-house career, Jason was a Partner at a UK Legal200 law firm, where he led the Intellectual Property practice. In this capacity, he specialised in the assessment and protection of new technology and innovation, the exploitation of intellectual property assets, and the strategic management of IP portfolios for a wide range of business clients.
With a focus on the ethics and regulation of emerging technology, Jason has completed the Oxford Saïd Business School programme in AI Ethics, Compliance, and Regulation and is currently a participant in the University of Oxford LawTech Education Programme (AI University Foundations). He bridges the gap between traditional legal frameworks and the future of algorithmic accountability to support firms in navigating the evolving landscape of AI governance.
